Annual FHA Meeting Here On Thursday ' Four-County Area Meeting Thursday v Toe seventh annual meeting of FHA farm ownership borrowers of the four-coiinty area served by the Decatur office oLthe farmers home administration will be held Thursday, in the C. L, of C. hall in the K. of C. building. Twenty co-operat-ing families and 12 advisory comtaitteerhen have invited from Adams, Allen, Jay, and Wells counties. The program will include a discussion of farm records kept by the families and 1 what the farmer can do to increase his net inbome. A-carry-in lunch will be Served at noon, aftej’ which John H. Carmody, FHA program operations chief and formerly associated with the Central Sugar company in Decatur, will lead a question and answer session on the past records and prospects of the FHA farm bwnership program iti Indiana. C., UP — A IG-month-old New Hampshire red hen owmed by William Allison was a martyr recently to the egg-laying business. The hen layed a jumbo egg weighing 6% ounces or about three times as much as an average egg. It contained three yolks and was 10>4 inches in circumference. UP —Dempsey B. Ebert, 36, Butler merchant;- was accused tod#y of paying a Kansas man SSOO to set fire to Ebert’s store. Deputy sheriff George, A. Milks said Ebert probably will be arraigned today in De Kalb circuit court on ( a charge of second degree arson. The fire Feb. >7 burned thd contents of the slope, but left Ebert’s apartment undamaged. Milks said Ebert carried >12,000 insupanue on the building’s contents. Paul Weinrich, 28, Winfield, Kans., was arrested Saturday at Eufaula.( Ala., and charged with second (degree arson. Milks said Weinrich implicated Ebert in a confession to Alabama authorities. Ebert was.arrested and jailed Monday. DeKalb county sheriff Frank E. Carpenter went Monday to Alabama to return Weinrich to Auburn for arraignment. \ Evelyti Riley, 28. Niles, Mich., was held in DeKalb county jail with Ebert as a material witness. Milks said\Weinrich told police she drove a car in which Weinrich rode the night of the fire.
