Adams county’s nine high school basketball teams will launch battle Tuesday night in the Decatur sectional toiirney for the crown captured for the last four years by the Decatur Yellow' Jackets. One game will be played Tuesday night at 7:30 o’clock, vyith the Adolfos Central Greyhounds and t|>e Monmouth Eagles drawing the honor for opening the tourney. The upper bracket will be concluded with two games Wednesnight. iThe Berne Bears will meet the Jefferson in . the Wednesday opener at 7 o’clock, followed by the Decatur Commodores against . the winner of Tuesday’s Adams Central-Mon-mouth game. | 1 The four tepms in the -lower I bnicltet -will play their opening games Thursday night. ' At 7 p. m. Thursday, the Geneva Cardinals wHJ battle the Pleasant Mills S-partans, and at 8:15 o'clock the Decatur Yellow Jackets will launch their title defense against the Haftford Gorillas. \ There wiH be no games Friday.' vzith the Wednesday night winners; clashing in the first semi-fin-r.l game at 1 o’clock Saturday afternoon. and the Thursday night victors l>attling at 2:15 p. m. Officials for all tourney games throughout the state are assigned by the Indiana high school athletic association, which also conducts all tourney pairings. The Dbcatur sectional winner. will compete in the regional tour- ' ney Saturday, March 7, meeting the: Kendallville winner 4in the first regional game at 1 p. m. in the new’ Allen county war memorial coliseum. The Auburn and Fort Wayne winners play at 2:15. with t>he winners tangling in the regional final at 8:15 p. m. The semi-final tourney- Saturday, March 14, Mil also be held in the cpliseum at Fort Wayne, with the Kokomd arid Manon winners meeting at 1 p. m., followed by the Fort Wayne and Muncie winners. The final game will 'be at 8:15 p. m. The sembfinah tourneys will leave just four teams left to hattie for the state clmmpionship in the final meet at the Butler fieldhouse in Indianapolis Saturday.
