Methodists Plan Church Extension The north Indiana conference of the MeQiodist church will hold a special called session at Hartford City February 8 to consider a pro. posed program of chwrch extension within the conference for the next four years. The Rev. Samuel Emerick, secretary of the conference board of church extension, reports that a series of recent meedags with Bishop Richard *C. Raines and numerous leaders of the conference, has resulted in a plan which will, be submitted to the February 3 session. The proposed program calls for raising 8500.DD0 within the next four years; this fund to the building of a Wesleiy Foundation student building near Ball State College campus and initiating at least 11 heu[ churches in unchurched areas in northeastern Indiana. \ This program plan is the result of a state-wide survey made within t*he last year by the bishop's office and the board of national missions. The-other two Indiana Methodist conferences are engaging in a similar church extension program simultaeously. v .” ___ Fred Buscbe and Rev. Emerick will represent the First Methodist church when the conference session convenes February 3. Funeral Rites Held For Rey. Kielsmeier Graveside services Vrere held Wednesday at the Cruz Reformed church cemetery for the Rev. E. A. Kielsmeier, 71. of Elgin. 111., retired minister of the Evangelical and Reformed church. He formerly held pastorates at Garrett and Fort Wayne. Dayton and Cteveiand, Ohio, and Salem. gon. He is survived by one daugh-\ ter. Miss Miriam, one son. Dr. Cijd-U vin, and two grandchildren, all of Elgin. Hl*. Taking part in the service were Dr. T. W. Hoerneman of :: New Philadelphia, Onio, the Rev* L. W. Mclntire, of B|luftton, Ohio, ami the Rev., W. C. Feller, of this city, all relatives of the deceased. Rev. Kielsmeier was an uncle of Mrs. W. C. Feller. • Rev. Feller Marks 10th Year In City The Rev. William Feller, pastor of Zion Evangelical and Reformed • churih in Decatur, is this week celebrating his tenth year tn Decatur. The Fellers came here in January of 1943 and they recall that the temperature was considerably lower and there was a good cover of snow on the ground in 1943. Rev, and Mrs. Feller and their family have seen their church grow in membership and also have taken part in that congregation’s building program, which included remodeling of the parsonage and the Addition of a Sunday school section to the church at the corner of Third and Jackson streets. The Fellers, who have made a host Os friends both fn the congregation which they serve and the city generally, are receiving congratulatory messages and calls. Vincent Habegger Slightly Improved Vincent Habegger, £9. who had his left arm torn off al the shoulder Wednesday at about 10:30 a.m. at the Einn Grove elevator of the Berne Equity Co., late this morning Aas called “very slightly improved” over his near critical condition yesterday. The Linn Grove man, a father of foiir. was heard crying for help by Richard Zeigler, who found the victim to have been caught up by a revolving shaft that tore all his clothes from his body with the exception of one sock. His arm had been severed at the shoulder. Habegger remaining conscious throughout.
