U1 B. church held their Christmas party at the home of Mrs. William Hamnia, Tuesday evening. A six o’clock ’ chicken dinner was served; at small tables, with handles, holly and Cbristmgs bells as center pieces. < A short business meeting was held later in the evening by the president. Mrs. Robert Garard. An exchange of gifts were presented, from beneath a lighted Christmas tree, and the class presented the teachers, Mrs. Haipma and Mrs. Dellinger each with a (gift, aid they presented each member of the class with a gift. Mrs. Lee Basco and son Dennes of St. Louis, Mo., were guests, she formerly was Miss Betty Hamma. ' 7 All members of the Methodist. ( To Distribute Gifts To Mental Patients INDIANAPOLIS, UP — The Indiana association for mental health reported today more than 20,000 Christmas presents have been collected for patients in the state’s pentyl institutions. The gifts will be distributed at parties. j Asks Pledge Cards Mailed To Office | William Linn, recruit Chairman for the Red Cross blood program, today asked persons who obtained pledge cards at their church last Sunday, to mail the cards to the Red Cross office. > Postage is paid on the printed addressed cards. Approximately 1,000 cards were distributed to’ the churches in the county with the; hope of obtaining pledgers to thie bipod program. The bloodmobile will be in Decatur January 29 and the Red will give the prospective donor a reservation aS soon as the cards are received at the local office. About 25 cards have been received by the chairman. The county’s quota the blood program is 125 pints.

Alex Sutton of the highway engineering department of Indianapolis, is visiting his mother, Mrs. J. C. D. Brickley of Bluffton were injured yesterday when a car driven by an unknown person turned in front of their car near Pendleton. The Brickleys received sprained backs and bruises and were returned tb their home.

Peter W. Dunwiddie Dies This Morning Peter W. Dunwiddie, 79. a resident of Geneva most of his life, died at 11:35 o’clock this morning following an illness of two days. Surviving are a son, John, of Huntertown; a daughter, Mrs. Mildred Pen rod, of Geneva; and two sisters, Mrs. Clara Beery and Mrs. Lawrence Watson of Coldwater, Mich. One son is deceased. Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.ni. Monday at the Hardy & Hardy funeral home in Geneva, with burial in Riverside cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home after noon Saturday.
