GIRL SCOUTS Girl Scout troop 17 met with our leader, Mrs. Custer recentlyand -the new president. Lynn Koohs, called the meeting to order. We will practice Christmas carols next Tuesday and Thursday and Mrs., .McCurdy will direct us. Mrs. Small and three girls from Troop 16 were present at thi» time to plan " our Christmas party for December 17 at the Decatur high school in the home econoniics room. A twenty-five to thirty-cent gift enchange will also he held at that time. Mrs. Gerald Durkin served! us refreshments and closed the i meeting with the Girl Scout promise and singing “Silent Night,” a < Scribe, Gayle Custer. Girl Scout troop 13 met Wednesday afternoon at the home of Mrs. Lowell Harper. Mrs. Harper had cookies and. hot chocolate prepared for the girls when they arrived. We plahned for our Christmas presents for our mothers. The group sang Christmas carols and planned to meet next week at the Presbyterian church for an extra long meeting. ! Scribe, Synthfa; Lehman.
