JUDE STUDY CLUB MEETS WITH MRS. KITSON Mrs. Joe Kitson was hostess to members of the St. Jude study club Tuesday evening, whAp the group met for their ' annual Christmas party. ' ' ! . Diriner was served ( priori to the social evening, from tables outlined in apprqpriate appointments of miniature Christinas trees, with similar decorations used throughout the entertaining rooms. ■ Canasta and pinochle were played later in the program with Mrs. Joe Shell. Mrs. James McCdlj and the hostess, Mrs. Kitson, recdiving the prizes. MISCELLANEOUS SHOWER HONORS MRS. McCULLOUGH A surprise miscellaneous shower, held recently at the home of Miss Virginia Koenig, honored Mrs. Edward McCullough, the former Phyllis Barr. Dufing the evening, games were played and the prizes were awarded to the honored guest. Gifts were 'placed on a table, laid with pink and white paper, and a sprinkling can added color to the decorations. Refreshments were served 'to Mrs, A. J. Zelt, Mrs. Ben McCullough.- Mrs; L. B. Koenig, the Misses Gaunt, Jean Potts, AVinona Miller. Carol Koenig. Beverly White, Doris Koenig and the hostesses, Alice Slusher and Miss Koenig. . BUSINESS AND PROFESSIONAL WOMEN IN CHRISTMAS PARTY At six thirty o’clock Wednesday evening, members of the BufchjieSs and Professional Women’s club held their annual Christmas dinner party at the Masonic hall. green popcorn ballsu pine houghs and cones. Nativity sets, a’church and choir and miniature Santa Clauses added color to the gala scene. Miss Charlene Lehman and Jack Lawson favored the group with appropriate selections and were accompanied by Miss Helen Haubold. Christmas Stories and poems were presented hy Mrs. Rosemdnd Bernau of Fort Wayne. \ Gifts were distributed later in the evening when Santa Claus arrived with his helpers, who also entertained the group with piano selections. Mrs. Bessie Teeple read a memorial for Marcia Martin, and Christmas carols were sung by all the guests, climaxing the party. ; | Misfit Anna K. A delightful and entertaining program was held Thursday evening in she Lincoln school auditorium when members of the Decatur P. T. A. diet for a regular meeting. Children from the first, second, fifth and sixth grades participated in the evening’s program, which featured children's songs,, folk pieces and Christmas selections. SOCIAL EVENING HELD BY WOMEN OF MOOSE A social evening was enjoyed by the Women of the Moose Thursday at the Moose home, with Moosehaven chairman Thelma Hendricks in charge of thel social program. A shorty business session was held prior to the social, and the group voted to donate $lO to' the Good Fellows club, sld\ to buy a Health bond and $lO to the Crusade for Freedom.
