Richardson of the University of Illinois announced that his graduate architecture students already are working on a model of[ plastic pillows, \ heliumtilled and joined to make a milehigh floating dome. The f second annual Victory Prayer Grand union fellowship service will be held Sunday afternoon, December 14, at Faith tabernaclti Fairfield and West DeWald streets, Fort Wayne, at 2 o’clock) it was announced today by the Rev. James Meadows, head and founder of the organization. The J Rev. Alexander Batthauer will .deliver rhe address and the Rev. R. W. ftattenberg, pastor of the tabernacle Mrill serve as song leader. Rev. Meadows will preside at the annual services and the public is invited to attend. Rev. llatthauer is a converted Russian and has an interesting message for all. parks. Power plants and other smoke-producing installations would be kept outside. Rain running off the dome’s edges would be collected to provide a pure supply-for all uses including extensive sprinkling of vegetation inside where even tall trees could grow without difficulty. Roofless Houeee Houses would be built differently, too. They could be without roofs. \ Walls would be lightweight and solely for privacy. Even on overcast days solar radiation would adequate heat; at night supplementary radiant heat might be needed. \ Richardson said his “weatherconditioned” community could survive wartime attack easier than conventional cities because the pillow construction could sustain many punctures without coming down. They damaged cells could be repaired while the ’’ome remained afloat.
