Boil gently 3 minutes. Pour into large mixing bowl and cool. Add mixed fruit and nutmeats. Sift dry ingredients together. Add to first mixture grad? ually, beating well aftet each addir tion. Pour , into a. greased, waxpd-paper-lined 9-inch tubei pan. Bake in a slow oven (275’F.) 2 hours. Recipe makes a 3’4 pound cake. The geographic center of the United States is Smith County, Kansas. \
