SUNNY CIRCLE GROUP HOLDS MEETING .Mrs. Louis Fuhrman, Mrs. Velma Fhlerding and Mrs. Orley Barkley were hostesses Tuesday evening to 29 members, two guests and p four children, when the Sunny Circle Home Demonstration club met at the Preble recreation center — Opening the session was a song, “Fairest Lord Jesus/’ followed by its history presented by Mildred Hildebrand. Roll call was held and the business meeting followed. Olga Reifsteck gave a poem entitled “Thanksgiving,"- and the meeting' adjourned with prayer by Mrs. Irene Fenner. [ I . FARM BUREAU Two hundred and twenty five members of the Root Township Farm Bureau and 4-H members held their November meeting at-the Monmouth school recently. Achievement night was held with a turkey and pot-luck supper served, followed with a program in charge of Tom Drew and his committee. The 4-H song was led by Jahet And Janice Busick and the flag and 4-H pledge given by Don Gallmeyer. A piana duet was given by, Rowena and Sandra Merriman, a recitation ’by Larry Busick, an accordion solo- by Leo Busick, ph ano solo, Kathleen Boergei’, twirling. Linda Fuhrman, Carolyn Drake and \jane Harvey, piano solo, Mif'fene Johnson. 4-H awards and pins were given by the leaders’ and the county officers, and new officers for the year were installed. Guest speaker for the affair wasi Leland Ripley, who gave an Interesting talk on insurance. —T-- / JOINT BIRTHDAY PARTY HONORS PROMINENT MEN August Bohnke and T. D. Schieferstein, well known men of the county’ were hpnbred Thanksgiving day with a birthday party celebration. Mr. Bohnke was celebrating his eightieth birthday. Cards and games made up the day’s entertainment and the guests of honor received many gifts appropriate for the occasion. B. church. ;He,is a graduate of Bob Jones and Seminary in Greenvilfe; S. C. He has also engaged in radio work, youth work and evangelism. ' Rev. and Mr?.
