$ Decatur’s Commodores marked one up in the victory column last night at Huntington, defeating the Huntington Catholic Ramblers, 4539. f ' [ Both teams got off to a very slow start with neither playing star trail. Decatur set the pace with Steve Gass chalking nine points through the hoop in the ftfst half.. The Commodores stayed on top (or most of the first half, but along iiward the close of the half, a lon de Huntington eager* Solloay, began making like George Mtkan and earned 12 points. The Ranns Carter got eight, Deluca bucketed one, Eckert sank four, and sub Meehan made three points. The score at the end of the first half, Decatur 26, Huntington, 28. During the first half Huntington wrested the initiative away from Decatur with some good, solid and deceptive ball handling. Very One under-ihe-hoop work on Decatur’s part held down the score no end.
