Women’s Guild, who met \in the church basement. A piano duet opened the session by' the Rev. and Mrs. Settlage. Mrs. Harry Beavers; led the responsive reading. Mrs. Scherry offered prayer, i Picture slides were shown on Europe by Mrs. Phyllis Haugk, who visited the country last", summer. Mrs. Waiter liildebrand led in the closing prayeri. A short business meeting followed and was conducted by the Mrs. Walter Krutzman. NATIONAL inspection HELD FOR DELT SORORITY Beginning at six o’clock Thursday evening, members of Delta I'faeta Tau sorority met at the K. o* C. hall for impressive initiation services, inspection and dinner. J.M. Edwards, national secretary of Delta Theta Tau Sorority, Inc., of Indianapolis, was the inspecting officer for the o<rcasion, which occurs bi-annually. —. Impressive formal Initiation services were held, beginning the affair, for Miss Mary Lou York, Miss Joan. Fuelling, Mrs. Lyle Mallonee, Mrs. Dick Mansfield, Jr., and Mrs. Bill Lichtensteiger. Following this, the \ sorority was .inspected by the national of fleer, who also epoke to the gfoupJ She gave an interesting account oT Delta Theta Tau eorority from its beginning and conducted a question and answer session for the benefit of the guests. . i Prior to this, a dinner was served from a beautifully appointed table outlined in fall and Thanksgiving appointments. Each guest’s place was marked with a miniature turkey Ln keeping with the season. Miss Catherine Weldler, president, conducted a short business meeting, following the dinner. Forthcoming plans were discuss.ed and new business taken care of. The group voted to donate again this year to the Decatur Community fund and the meeting adjourned with- the closing prayer. Alumni members present for the enjoyable evening were Mrs. Bernard i Terveer. Mrs. Arthur Vogiewedte and Mrs. Al Schmitt. TheJcommittee in charge of the program were Mrs. Bernard Clark, chairman, Mrs. Robert Colter. Mrs. James Colter, Mrs. Bernard Meyer, arid the Misses Ahn Gass. Isabel Kintz, Rosie Spangler and Pat Appelman. NEW ENGLAND DINNER IS PLANNED BY METHODISES The ladies of the Methodist church are again resuming thifeir New- England dinner. Thursday, November 13. This was a traditional event in tbe church for many years, but had been dropped the past few seasons. Mrs. W. F. Be>ery. president of the Ladies Aid, twenty years ago, when new carpet was needed in th4 sanctuary, started the event to pay for the carpet. It proved such a success, it continued for many years. It is a traditional New England dinner of roast turkey and all the trimmings, including home made mince meat rind pumpkin pie. Serving will begin in the Methodist church basement from eleven o’clock until one thirty o’clock. In the evening, a cafeteria supper will be served from five until
