Recommend Swine For Fair Be Examined County agent L. E. Archbold has a letter from Joe Greeft, state veterinarian, which states “In view of the spread of Vesicular fexantheme throughout certain sections of the United States and one suspected case which has occurred in Indiana, the livestock sanitary board has recommended that all swine exhibited at the Indiana state fair be inspected by a licensed veterinarian within 24 hours of the time of shipment. Notice of such inspection should be made on the regular health certificate form and should indicate that the entire swine herd has been examined by said veterinarian and found free of any symptoms of disease. “I cannot overemphasize the importance of *a careful inspection in view of the consequences which would result from an outbreak at the fair,” Green said.
