Choir Arrives For CanadiaoSingfesf Indiana Women On Hand With 2,000 TORONTO, Ont.* UP — The 2,000 women of the Indiana Home Demonstration Club choir were pouring into Toronto Thursday “in real good singing voice.” The world's largest women’s choice will sing today and Saturday night in special programs at the Canadian National Exhibition. The massed choir will sing a cantata especially whiten for their goodwill tour of Canada by Hoosier Playwright. John McGee, titled “The Unguarded Border.” It will be narrated by the president of Furdue University, F. L. Hovde. The concert will be broadcast In both Canada and the United States

ope. Mr. Bangert is, therefore, afforded an unusually comprehensive view of the possibilities of musical expression, and these are being developed constantly by him. A graduate of Concordia Teachers' College of Seward, Nebraska, a school of higher learning maintained by the Lutheran church for the purpose of training men as musicians, church organists, and teachers in Christian parochial schools, Mr. Bangert is at present a member of thefaculty of the school maintained by St. Paul Lutheran church, *in Sheboygan. As organist at St, Paul church, and conductor of their choir, he has directed the performance of [numerous Bach cantatas, many of them translated and arranged by him and presented for the first time, under his direction, in America. Trips To Washington Awarded To 4-Hers Adams County Girl Is Listed As Winner Lafayette, Ind. Awards of 32 trips Washington, D. C., Sept. 6-13, have been made to Hoosier 4-H -club boys and -girls for the first time this summer, according to J. C. Ralston, associate in 4-H club work at Purdue University. The trips have been made on the basis of achievements in club work and are sponsored by the Agricultural Extension Service and Stark Sr Wetzel, Indianapolis./ George Stark will open the festivities of the trip with a "kick-off” dinner Saturday evening, Sept. 6, at the Washington Hotel; Indianapolis. On ‘Sunday morning, the delegation will leave for Washington by bus. Highlights of the trip will include a tour of Washington Monument, the Capitol Building, Smithsonian Institution, a n d Mount Vernon J t The group will leave Washington Sept. 11, and stop at Annapolis enroute. They will also visit Atlantic City and historic shrines in the Philadelphia area. The battle fields of Valley Forge and Gettysburg will be tourned. The trip will conclude in Indianapolis Saturday evening, Sept. 13.
