PLEASANT MILLS GROUP HOLDS CLASS PARTY Mr. and Mrs. Glen Mann entertained the Pleasant Mills Methodist Willing Workers Sunday school class Monday evening at their home. The session was opened with the group singing, “Let the Lower Lights Be Burning." Prayer was offered by Mrs. Richard Speakman and Miss Wanda Mann reviewed the book of Luke for the devotions for the evening.

After the business meeting the group was dismissed with prayer by Varlando Clark. ' Refreshments were served during the social hour by the host and hostess, assisted by Mr. and Mrs. Richard Speakman. -v i' * ‘ ~ * SORORITY MEETS IN PALLED SESSION The members of Delta Theta Tau sorority met Tuesday evening at the home of the president, Miss Catherine Weidler, for a called meeting. Following the opening prayer and roll call, the business meeting was held. The changes in the by-la#s, made during the national convention were discussed and the delegate to the affair, Mrs. Jerome Kohne, gave an interesting talk, oh the social and business activities, which were held at the time in Washington. , Concluding the meeting, a light luncheon was served by the hostess. FACKLER REUNION HELD SUNDAY IN VAN WERT, OHIO The thirteenthannual Fackler family reunion was held Sunday at the Fairgrounds in Van Wert, Ohio, with ninety-eight members and three visitors present. A cafeteria style dimiter was served at noon, followed' 1 with a business Officers elected were as follows: Henry H. Fackler, Plymouth. Ohio, president, Chris Wollenhauxt, Van Wert. Ohio, vice-president, Mrs. Clara Meyers, Decatur, secretarytreasurer and Misp Martha McCannon, Shelby, Ohio, assistant secretary. The next reunion will be held August 24 at the Mary Fate park at Plymouth, Ohio. Entertainment was furnis'hed by Joe Bill Dailey with his dimms and Gene Wollenhauxt with his accordion. They played numbers, as did Jimmy and Sue.Nofer. who sang and played accordion Mr. and Mrs: Charles Brown and Mr. and' Mrs. Letoy Broyyijjjw family, traveled the most distance,' 999 miles from South Dakota, and the oldest ; member present was Philip' Fackler, 91 years old, from Willard, Ohio. The youngest member there was Gene Fackler, son of Mr. and Mrs. Leo E. Fackler, Jr., who is four weeks old. Two Mishaps Occur Near Coppess Corner None Badly Hurt In Auto, Truck Crashes ' Two accidents occured at; Coppess Corners in the past two days, one involving two trucks, theother a two-car mishap. Ohly one local person was Involved. The first, Mdnday qight at about 10:1£, o’clock io deputy sherrif Jim Cochran’s report, Rufus Amstutz, 517 Berne, and Ira Lynch, 21, Oaktowm, were passing each other going in opposite directions on the sweeping curve just south of Coppess corners. They evidently passed too close and sideswiped each other. Amstutz suffered some cuts froth flying glass but was otherwise uninjured. Weldon L. Biberstein, 19. Geneva, who was driving behind one of the trucks had his car slightly damaged from flying glassy and wreckage from the trucks. jHe wds uninjured. The estimated damage tb all the vehicles was'a|)out S4OO. Tuesday afternoon at about, 2 o’clock,. Chauncey Olivier, 71, Bluffton, and Vivian Marie Bryan, 28, \24G North Sixth street, collided at the intersection of highway 124 and U. S. highway 27, about six miles sooth of here. Acording to reoortsl from the sheriffs office, Oliver halted at the stop sign at where 124 crosses 27, then went ahead: it wds apparently too soon, however, because the w’o man, who was heading south, struck Oliver’s car. She sustained cuts and bruises and received private treatment. Ilamage was estimated at ?600.
