BARBARA SAUTTER BRIDE OF IVAN\ MINICH SUNDAY Miss Barbary Ann Sautter, youngest daughter of Mrs. Harold Sautter of 916 North Second street, became the bride of Ivan Neil Minich, youngest son of Mr. and M,rs. Edward Minich of route 2, Monroeville, in an impressive candlelight ceremony in the Zion Lutheran church Sunday evening. The Rev. Edgar Schmidt read the double ring vows before an altar flanked with baskets of gladlola, greenery and double candleabra.i - '-=* j - • A musicale preceded the ceremony by Mrs. J. Fred Fruchte and Mrs. Mary Edington. The invocation by Dubpis was given and the traditional wedding march was played. Songs §ung by Mrs. Edington \included “The TwentyThird Psalm,” . “Take Thou My Hand and Iliad Me,” and “The Lord’s Prayer.” “O Perfect LoUe” was played softly during t|e Yows. satin and nylon tulle. The molded bodice in eatin featured a pleated tulle, portrait neckline, complemented with an applique of satin roses. Her long sleeves came to points over her hands and the full skirt ended in a chapel length train. The fingertip veil of imported silk illusion was held in place by a satin halo, trimmed with tiny seed pearls. Her bouquet was .of white roses, centered with a single orchid. Mrs. Irene Bower, sister of the groom, was matron of honor, in an organdy gown of orchid with a matching headpiece, outlined with flowers. Her bouquet was of purple asters. The bride’s niece, little Linda Frtedley, and Sheryl Ann Bowers, niece of the groom, were flower girls, in identical dresses as the honor attendant and carried bouquets of purple alters. Mrs. Sautter chose for her daughter’s wedding a <iress of navy blue with white accessories, while the groom’s mother wore a navy blue assemble with navy accessories. j Richard Minich served his brpther as best man. Ushers were Claranee Strapleton, Jr., and Bill Bumgardner, ' The reception took place immediately following the ceremony at the Hayloft Barn, Hoagland, for approximately 300 guests. The bride’s table was centered with a three tier wedding cake, topped with a miniature bride and broom, and was surrounded with greenery. Pink candles completed the decorations. Serving were Dorothy Bumgard-
ner, Rose Noonan, Norma . Johnson and Carmean Creech. After a wedding trip of unannounced destination, for which the bride wore a brown crepe dress with brown and white accessories and the orchid from her bridal bouquet, the couple will reside at Chanute Air Base in Illinois, where the groom Is stationed with the air force. The new Mrs. Minich is a graduate of Decatur high school and was employed by the Vogue Beauty shop in Decatur, Her hugband is a graduate of Hoagland high school. \ — JANET DRAKE HONORED ON FOURTH BIRTHDAY On the occasion of her fourth birthday, Janet Drake, young daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John Drake of route 5, was honored Saturday with a birthday party. The entertaining rooms were decorated with pink and blue and the centerpiece of the table was made up of a bouquet of assorted gladlola. Games and iprlzes were awarded and each guest received a clever hat. The honored gqest received piany -gifts and present for the party were Nancy Brunner, Janet and Joan Brown, Jimmie and Cheril Darr, Duane Shifferly, Joan Hirschy. Lynn Lehman, Pat Gephart, Joyce Noll, Katie Hindenlag, Louise Hindenlang, Jerry Hirschy. Paul Kauffman, son of Mr. and Mrs. Jacob J. Kauffman of Berne, August 7. The ceremowy was solemnized in the St. Paul’s Evangelical Reformed church of Andrews with the Rev. Delbert D. Kauffman, brother of the groom, officiating. The bridal gown Was ballerina length white lace ovier pink taffeta. Her fingertip veil of illusion was held in place by a lace helmet and she carried a white Bible topped with an orchid. \ i ' i bride’s mother; wore a nylon navy blue dress with white accessories, while Mrs. Kauffman, selected a sheer black dress with white accessories. Immediately following the ceremony, a wedding dinner was served on the parsonage lawn, after which the couple left for a wed-: ding trip to Niagra Falls. The bride is an empoye in the offices of the General Electric company in Fort Wayne and her husband is employed by Koeneman, Borger, Krause and Dinius, certified public accountants of Fort Wayne. Mr. and Mrs. J. Ward Calland will spend several days in Chicago this week, while Calland attends the annual meeting of the national soybean crop improvement council, of which he is a director. The convention will be held at the Edgewater Beach hotel, where they will be guests until Saturday. Dr. Clyde Baumgartner has been named executor of the estate of L. L. (4«ee) Baumgartner in the Wells circuit court. Four persons Mrs. Bessie Welker, Dr. Baumgartner, Mrs. Pearl Newton and John A. Baumgartner will share equally in the estate, which is listed as consisting of |SO& personal and 16,000 real estate.
