The white Bible she carried was topped with white roses. The maid of honor. Miss Margie Mentor, wore a ballerina length gown of white organdy over light green taffeta. She wore matching mitts and her flowers were pink carnations. V ' Mrs. Lewton attended the wedding in a navy blue nylon dress with white accessories and Mrs. Lehman wore a brown floral print dress with black accessories. Both wore corsages of pink roses. The groom was attended by James Merriman, and ushers were Roe Lehman, brother of the groom, and Bob Dick. One hundred guests were received in the church dining rooms after the ceremony. Assisting with the serving were Mrs. Harold Owens, Mrs. Ldwell Smith, Mrs.’ Tim , Sprague, Miss Mary Anne Owens, Miss Waveland Lehman and Miss Ethel Schmiege. The serving table was laid,with white and attractively appointed in pink and white. Small tables where the guests were seated w’ere identically decorated. 7 The new Mrs. Lehman is a graduate of Monmouth high school and is employed in the office of the Teeple Truck Lines. Her husband is a graduate of Adams Central high school and is employed at the analytical laboratory at Central Soya. Heinrich Mann, student at Monmouth high school and a native of Germany, was- guest of honor at a several days outing at Manitou Lake, Rochester, last week. Mann will return to Germany in about tWo weeks. Elaine Carol is the name of the baby girl born to Mr. and Mrs/ Warren Messoth. of Chicago, on July 1 in St. Ann’s hospital. The baby weighed 8>& pounds. The mother is the former Maxine Noll of Pleasant Mills. Mr. and Mrs. Enos Ruhl, Hoagland, are parents of a baby girl, weighing 9 pounds, 114 ounces, born Sunday at 7:45 p. m. at the Adams county memorial hospital. Annual Picnic For Trustees August 2 County school superintendent Glen Custard has announced August 2 as the date for the annual county trustee's picnic. It will be attended by all township trustees, attendance officers and superintendents. Also, all exofficers of the school department are invited to attend. Custard named Lehman park at Berne for the site of the festivities. . August 2, said Custard, is coincidental with a date for a regular business meeting of the board and will be held during a breather in the activities.

Progressive Party Backs Civil Rights California Lawyer \ Selected Nominee CHICAGO, UP — The Progressive party had as the foundation on its platform today, an 11-ppint civil rights plank, and a speaker said “the Progressive party does net creep up oh equality.” The party’s platform, committee pounded together a piatforrn which they said will "challenge” the two major parties.
