DURKIN HOSTESS TO DEMONSTRATION CLUB The Decatur Home Demonstra* tion club met recently with Mrs. Gerald Durkin and assisting hostesses were Mrs. Frances Mona : han, Mrs. Harmon Gillig, Mrs, : Henry Adler, Mrs. William Affolder and Mrs. Minnie Teeple. The president, Mrs. Joe Oelberg, conducted the business meeting, followed with roll call which was| answered by tejling of a favorite magazine. Plans were also completed for the 4-H fair. An announcement was made concerning the Purdue conference, that will he held July 29 and JO. Delegates will be Mrs. Bert Haley and\ Mrs. Gerald Durkin. Alternates are Mrs. Walter Lister. MrsHarold DeVor and Mrs. Clarence Sinitley. Miss Irene Liechty, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Amos Liechty, a graduate of the Monroe high School, plans to sail from New York July 15 for Brussels, where she will study languages one year and then go on to Congo to serve as a missionary.
