PLEASANT MILLS GROUP HOLDS CLASS PARTY Mr. and Mrs. Benoit Johnson were host and hosthss for the class party held Monday evening tor the Pleasant Mills Methodist Willing Workers Sunday school group. r The meeting began with Mrs. Darrell Clouse presenting the devotions, followed by prayer by Mrs. Harlen Jones. The short business session was held after this arid then refreshments were served during the social hour to the fourteen members and seven childrep present. INITIATION DINNER OF SORORITY HELD WEDNESDAY The annual initiation dinner of the Psi lota XI sorority was held Wednesday evening in a beautiful garden setting at the Zion Lutheran parish hall. "Mrs. Earl Butler will give a paper oh spraying and dusting and Mrs. Henry Heller will discuss how to build good soil. Members are requested to bring floral displays for the garden show. 12-Year-Old Girl Is Drowned In Canal EDWARDSVILLE, HI. (UP) — Rita Bast, 12-year old daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Ned Bast, of. Edwardsville, drowned Wednesday in a canal near here. The girl and her brother, Charles, were visiting their greatgrandfather’s farm north of Edwardsville, when the two children went to wade in the canal that runs in back of the farm.
