Mrs. Max J. Kidd of Brazil, and former residents of this city, will marry Miss Carolyn Janet Henry of Bluffton May 27. The wedding will take place at 2:30 o’clock that afternoon in the Trinity Methodist church in Lafayette. Kidd was a former football coach at Decatur high school. The bride-elect is employed by the General Electric company and her “ fiance is in the roofing and siding business. r. !■ : METHODIST CHURCH HOLDS BANQUET MONDAY All the Circles of the Methodist church held their\ annual mother and daughter banquet Monday evening at the church. One-hundrejd-twenty-five members and guesfs attended the program. ' A color; scheme of pink, and green was carried out in the table decorations, with May baskets of spring flowers and small hats and matching bags as the place cards. Mrs. Samuel Emerick gave ' the prayer before the dinner and Mrs. W. P. Robinson served as toastmaster, introducing | Mrs. Anita Smith, who presented the welcome.- | : The program included a vocal solo, “Christerfer Robbins Prayer” by Mary Ann Sweajringen and a reading, “Somebody's Mothejf” was given by Sharlene Lehman. Several musical selections ; were presented by Maxine and Tommy JSteury of Berne. The evening came to a elope with prayer by Mrs. Ed Wicks.
