The troop, all secofid graders, presented ja play and held a business meeting to show what was done at ttyeir meetings to the delight of pie .auxiliary. C. •Rhersch, retiring president, was in charge of the business Mrs. Virginia Withey, well known in the dramatic field,! was the speaker for pie evening and she was presented by Mrsf Roy Kalver, w io had charge of the program. Withey, who has been active in movie, stage, radio, and television; presented several jixjems and skits, among which ’were “Tie Highwmyman.’’ “Billie Takes Hip Mother Shopping” and “On the ii:ls.”\She w’as nied by a young dramatic student. Assessing Work Is r Near To Completion Winnes, Deputies Completing Work Washington I township assessor Will H. Winnies and his deputies are completing their actual assessing work this week and will de-? vote next week to recording the ‘ assessments. s , ’\ . ■ , All assessing work must be completed by May lis and the assessor said today that he was sure he would beat that deadline In Washington Mown ship. After all townships are complete ed. the assessments are turned over to the board of review, which meets for 30 days in June to consider remonstrances and objections from property owners in Cities, towns and townships the county. Valeria Knapp, Bessie Verry and Nancy Allen, all of Boston, Mass., were Easter Week guests of Miss Frances Dugan. Miss Verry is the director of the Latin school in Chicago, 111., and Miss Allen is her assistant. Miss Knapp is director of the Windsor school in Boston and formerly worked with MisS Dugan while she taught there. \ ?
