Higher Toll Rates Approved By State Indianapolis, April 18 —(UP) — About 300 Independent telephone companies throughout Indiana had approval from the state public, service Commission today to increase their intra-state toll rates. In an» order issued late yesterday, th6 commission agreed to allow the independent utilities to boost tollcharge s within the state to match an approximate six per cent hike given Indiana Bell Telephone co., by a Marion circuit court decision several months ago.
