Lawsuit For 342 /Million Dollars Finally Settled The—l42-million dollar lawsuit brought more than four years .ago by Itarry Ferguson and Hafcry Ferguson, hie.. against Dearborn Motors Corporation. Ford Motor company, and others has been settled for 2.7 percent of that amount 7a payment of 9’4 million dollars. All claims against individuals, as well as all claims of conspiracy, un-T fair competition and violation of rhe anti-trust laws against aH corporations and individuals were dismissed b;. consent judgment signed' in New York by Federal Judge! Gregory F. Noonan. The settlement 1 was made solely under some ofjthe patent infringement claims of the, complaint. 4 Satellite suits claiming an ,adlfitional $21,000,000 brought ,by two Ferguson distributors —one in Ohio and the other in Missouri- wnre also dismissed. 1 lyithout any payment by the defendants. Thg settlement was paid by Dearborn Motors,, national marketing organization for the Feud tractor and Dearborn farm equipment. Willie Mays Turned Down On Deferment Kansas City, April 11.—(UniManager Leo Durocher of the INew York Giants said today he •‘positively” will not break up his infield to replace Willie Mays when the star center fielder goes into tpe army oti May 15. Durocher began long-range consideration of his center field problem wh4n he received word todaj\ that Mays’ final appeal for a draft deferment on grounds of dependent" had been turned down in Mptgomery, Ala,, yesterday. Monroe Busy Bees The Monroe Busy Bees met cently with Mrs. Lester Ehysami for the election of officers. Pat Beitler is the president, vice president. Phyllis Mattox, secretary anti treasurer, Mary Jane Rice; news reporter, Costa Hike; health leader. Sonya Schug; and song leader, Sandra Cramer. The recreation leaders are Kae Christner and Mary Shoaf. After the> election, there was a discussion of activities for the coming year. During the social hour, refreshments were served by the hostess and the meeting adjourned. The next meeting Will be held May 9 with Mrs. Lester Ehrsam.
