research club v in MEETING The members o's the Research eluh met Monday evening with Mrs. A. R. Holthouse' for a social j meeting. The evening began with; Mrs. J. Ward' Calland showing slides on her recent trip to Mexico.' Mr. and Mrs. .Calland toured! Mexico by car and saw many of the interesting and beautiful cities I of Mexico, some of them being ' Paxco, Acaculpco, and Cuernavaca.! HOME ECONOMICS OLUB ENTERTAINS RECENTLY Profit and Pleasure Home Economics club of West Washt ; irigton entertained tjh 6 Bette.* J Homes club of Monroe! recently at the home of Belle Andrews. -The i meeting began by each; member : telling the correct way to answer the telephone. Devotibjis were given by Phyllis Winteregg 7 and 'the program was turned; oversto j Ruth McKean and Polly ' after which Mrs. McKean gavs an I interesting and humorous poem I entitled,-"Entertaining the Ladies j from the pity.” I Several selections were played on the accordion by ftoli Corson and the guests were then divided into different Irish groups and each family was requestd to Write a page for a ewspaper. The sports section was j declared the winner, and received the prize. After i this, several other games were played and prizes werfe given to the guest With the mos(t grandchildren, the eldest guest and the guest whose husband helped her with the dishes every day. A door prize was also given a!nd Mrs. Eliza Kahnert received the prize. 7- i |:j| : ! ■; STUDY CLUB IN MEETING Mrs. Virginia Osterman was hostess to the Queen of the Rosary study club recently at her home. The business meeting ended and the session was closed with prayer.
