Commander Mart Sommers was the speaker and presided over the various business matters brought up and discussed. Plans were completed for a hospital party to be held at the Veterans hospital in < Fort Wlgyne April 10. The next meeting will be a social to be held March 27 at the hall. The hostesses will be representatives of the Root township Home Economics, Adams County Farm Bureau and the Shakespeare clubs. The Friendship Village Home Economics club of Blue Creek township will meet Thursday afternoon at one o’clock; The lesson “Business Facts for Women”, will be given and should be heard by Colclesser, director of public reminded of the birthday auction to be held this month, also to wear cotton dresses. Busche of the First j State Bank of Decatur attended the eighth agricultural clinic of the Indiana Bankers Association at Purdue University, Lafayette, Thursday and Friday. L.E. Archbold, county agricultural agent, also attended as a guest of the banks. , i . The two day seminar at Purdue University was attended by 350 representatives from banks throughout every section of Indiana. Those attending the seminar hold various positions of responsibility in their banks. ; The Purdue agricultural clinic tor bankers is one of the largest meetings of its kind held in the United States. It is designed essentially for employees who are eoneerned with and interested ni the successful financing of agricultural operations. Attendance at the clinic enabled these men not only to meet a large number of bank employees and officers from other parts of Indiana, but they also had the opportunity to listen to recognised authorities in banking, economics, agricultural and financial problems, and the like.
