TRI KAPPA CHAPTER | ENTERTAINS TUESDAY The members of Qeeatur Associates chapter of Tri Kappa entertained Tuesday evening at their annual guest party, given in the Methodist church, fur the Active chapter and-spemal guests. Mrs. IJaFfy Dailey presented beautiful organ including “Largo,” “Ave Maria” and “By the Waters of Babylon.” Following Mjs. Daileys sefectipiys, Mrs. George B. Wood gave the talk on the story, “The Madonna in Art.” She told the Use of the Mother of Jesus from her birth, her youth and the birth of Jesus, illustrating her talk with slides. Following the program the gv.ests were invited to the social > room for tea. served from a beautifully appointed table with spring decorations, with Mrs. Fred Smith and Mrs. Walter J. Krick pouring The officers were in charge of the arrangements and included Mrs. Diek Heller. Mrs.' Dan Tyndall. Mrs. Dean Dorwin, Mrs. Robert Mills and Mrs. Walter J. Krick. REBEKAH LODGE HAS FRIENDSHIP NIGHT Friendship night was observed for the first time by the Rebekah l.odge Tuesday evening at their hail with the members, 125 guests, and the district president \ there.

The Poneto, Geneva, Montpelier, Bluffton, Liberty Center* Hartford City, Petroleum, and Zanesville lodges, all belonging' t<j this district, were present. The hall was decorated >ith the lodge colors, pink and green, and the officers werev presented with gifts in observance of the evening. The poem, "Friendship” was read and enjoyed, and later in the evening a lunch was served to those present. The Blufftoh lodge will observe friendphip night March 18. LADY OF FATIMA * 7 1 CLUB HAS MEETING Mrs. John Terveer was hostess to the Our Lady of Fatima discussion dub Monday evening, at home. The meeting opened with prayet - and Joan Wemhoff reviewed the book. "Color Ebony,” by Helen Caldwell Day. The: rest of the members presented current event topics. The president. Mrs. Ed Bosse made several announcements regarding N.C.C.W. news and stated that a meeting of district 5 of the National Council of Catholic Women would be held in April in Decatur. Following the business meeting the rosary was said Jor peace. The next meeting will t be held at the home of Joan Wemhoff. with Ethel Kleinhenz presenting the paper. ; r 77 CHRISTIAN MOTHERS IN MEETING TUESDAY The Christian Mothes'study club met Tuesday with Mrs. Winsion Rawley. The meeting opened with the club song, followed with devotions given by Mrs. Ralph Habegger. A short business hieeting was conducted by the president, Mrs. Wesley Lehman. ■ i Mrs. Don Cochran preseritedcjthe lesson “Don't Condemn;the Titletale” and Mrs. Robert Hamhipnd reviewed the article, “The Best Things in Life are Free,” waiter which a group discussion followed. William H. Haggard With their birthday anniversaries only one day apart* William Henry Haggard, 90, and his sister, Mrs. Roberta Noffsinger, 81, prominent residents of Monroe, will hold a family reunion next Sunday. The feature of the double observance will be a family dinner at noon, served in the annex of’the Monroe Methodist church, and an open hbuse in the church in the afternoon from 2 to 4 o’clock. -*■ Mr. Haggard was born in Washington Court House, Ohio, March 16, 1862. Mrs. Noffsinger was bbrn March 17, 1871, in Clinton county, Ohio. They came to Washington township. Adams county in 1892. Mr. Haggard married Effie Mix in November, 1884. She died in 1941.
