Mfs. Jay Thacker asked theleaders to start plana for their court of awards and the dates to be in by April 15. Each troop will have its own court of award this year for the first time. ' Any troop wanting to go through Sutton’s Jewelery Store may dd so but it was asked to let Mr. Sutton know a week ahead of time. The meeting was then turned over to Mrs. Glen Dickerson, chairman for the cookie sale, and she distributed the material needed. She asked that the leaders respond

DECATUR 4-H GROUP ENTERTAINS MOTHERS The Decatur 4-H dlub honored their mothers Tuesday evening at a meeting held In Decatur high . school for the purpose of presenting grade pins to members of last year. Ann Smith, president, opened the meeting and the pledge was ; led by Janet Hetrick and Carolyn r’ McDougal. Miss Smith welcomed the mothers and asked their ccoperation jn the coming summer. Roll call was then answered by ’ i“What do you want x to he when grow up?” J I Three 4-H pins were awarded to , Miss Ann Smith for her work in , electricity, distinguished work in food preparation and for her six years of 4-H work. Special mention was made of Miss Anita Smith, who classified as second in the county demonstration last I year. Anita received a fifth year Pin. Two skits were presented, “The advantages of being a 4-H member" and “Wilbur.” The recqrd books for this year and the last year's record books were presented. Mids Gene Stellar requested that all names for membership and the remaining cards be returned to her by Friday. t Refreshments were served at the close of the meeting.! The Monmouth P. T.A. will jneet at the school Wednesday evening at eight o’clock. An executive meeting will be held at seven thirty.
