Betty Sheets, leader for the evening, . used the topic “Christ Calls • Youth to Words or to Ac-, \ tions?". which was a lesson on Latin America. • The prayer period was in charge ofiVeda Williamson and the hymn “Jj-sus Calls Us" was sung and the scripture was read by EstherSeveral talks were given on Latin America countires by the' Misses Mary Sheets, Veda Williamson? The March social meeting will be held on the 18th, with the place to be announced later. . | \ I WOMEN’S GUILD MEETING I IS HELD RECENTLY The Women’s Guild, of the Zion Evangelical and Reformed ’churchy met at the church recently for their regular business meeting. , ’ Mrs. George Thomas, chairman, had the program. She opened with prayer and the song, “The Church’s One Foundation.” Her topic for the evening was “In Every Place.” She also told the members there were five new churches of the denomination, these being in Seattle, Wash., .Peoria, 111., St. Louis, Mo., Cumberland. Md. and one in Connecticut. Mrs. Ann Lehman, the president conducted the business meeting. An invitation was read to: attend the March It meeting at Bluffton, and plans were completed for the chicken noodle bake sale to .be held at city hall March 29. ip Mrs. Adolph Weidlet exhibited new books for a reading course and urged the members to read. Mrs. Frances Borders presented her work, a packet, “Another Mother,” which will be sent to the World service.
