ADAMS COUNTY WOMEN TO DISTRICT MEETING * Adams cpunty women will her well represented at a district meeting in Fort Wayne Tuesday. At this session several bounties of thi| area will stud£ government policies. The agriculture economies department of Purdue University will lead the discussion at ’ the Purdue Center. ", At 10 a.m. J. B. Kohlmeyer will Start the analysis of the welfare Situation. Group discussions and a question and answer period will follow. After lunch Carroll Bottum, well 1 ! known economist, will talk on the foreign relations of the United States.- A discussion will also follow his talk. Eileen Geimer Is Bride Today Os Richard E. Gage .St. f Mary’s 'Catholic church was the scene of a lovely mid-winter wedding this hiorning at nine o’clock when Miss Eileen E. Geimer and Richard D. Gage -exchanged npptial vows in a double ring ceremony. \ i The Rev. Robert Contant officiated gt the ceremony before,an altar decorated with bouquets of .white gladiolus and pink snapdragons and flankqd with palms and lighted candles. Th© center aisle was carpeted with white. A |■\- I . ! Sr. M. Ambrosine was organist and the girls bhoir sang the St. Dominic mass. At the offertory they Sang “Ave Maria” and at the communion “Fanis Angelicus.” After the massj they sang “On This Day Oh Beaut/ifiil Mother” as the bride placed a hoiiquet at the altar of the Blessed, Virgin. The bride is the daughter of Mr, apd Mrs. Herman Geimer of route five and the groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Robert J. Gage, of 728 North Fifth street. Given in marriage ,by her father,' the bride chose a ballerina length gown of jwhite satin and nylon tulle. The fitted bodice featured a scalloped sweetheart neckline, beautified with a scroll of braid and highlighted with crystal ’ beads and pearls. The bouffant skirt was triple tiers oif nylon tujle. Her silk illusion veil was edged with Chantilly lace and held in place by a tiara of beads and rhinestones. Shirt carried a small hand bouquet of white hyacinths centered with a pink orchid. Miss Alice Geimer attended her sister as maid of honor in a honeyMrs. L. C. Pettibone will entertain the Ladies Shakespeare Club at two o’clock on Wednesday afternoon. The Rebekah Lodge will meet in the 1.0.0. F. hall Tuesday evening at seven thirty o’clock and the ThreO Link club will meet following lodge. [lmpending Visit Os | Stork Brings Suit Expectant Father Sues Physician Robinson. 111., Jan. 19—(UP)— A 26-yisaFold father of three young children has filed a $25,000 damage suit against a locally prominent doctor because the stork soon will pay another visit to his household. John D. Rich, a refinery worker, charged in his complaint that in the course of marital relations with his wife, Catherine, 25, she “became pregnant with child wl)ich she is still carrying” after •he had undergone an operation to become sterile. He alleged that Dr. Randolph F. Olmstead, defendant named in the suit filed in Crawford county circuit eotirt ; yesterday, performed a “bilateral basotony to make the plaintiff sterile” on Jan. 20, 1950. Rich “underwent great unnecessary anguish, embarrassment, humiliation and distress" upon learning of his wife’s condition, tho suit charged. He claimed damages to cover the care, education and support of the unborn child, a $135 hospital bill for himself and the hospital costs for his wife’s confinement, expected within a month. He also asked court costs and a jury hearing for the sriit. Geneva Pastor Is Called As Chaplain The ReV. Paul I.[lrwin, pastor of the First Methodist church of Cetera sine© last July, has been called to active service as a navy chaplain. He will leave Sunday (or Newport, R. 1., where he will be given an eight weeks refresher course. Rev. Irwin was a chaplain in the naval reserve tor six years.
