Devotions were led by Mln. Ed Kolter and the lesson on "Color in the home” was given by Mrr. Dortha Shady. The meeting was opened by the president, Mrs. Albert Bieneke and Mrs. Blanche Henschen led the group in singing the song cf ’the month and the Doxology. L. of C. hall, with Mrs. Barney Wertzberger, Mrs. John Moore’, Mrs. Theodore Graliker, Mrs. Raymond Kohne, Mrs. Rose Losche ’and ( Mrs. Joe kelly hostesses. UNION WOMEN’S CLUB PLAN POTLUCK DINNER Members of the Union Township Women’s club, in their meet ling Wednesday, agreed to the outlined plans for a potluck dinner which 'is Ao be held December 28 in the home of Mrs. Marie Barkley. \ ’ f The announcement also stated that a fifty cent gift exchange would be held in conjunction with I the dinner. i, Mrs. Ruth Lehrman Wednesday !was host to seventeen members of the club, one guest and seven children, with Paula Thieme and Bernice Gray serving as assistant hostesses. \ Miss Jean Schockley, county health nurse, was the principal speaker at the meeting, pointing up in her speech the strides that are being taken in the detection, care and ' control of children’s, diseases. The meeting was opened by members pinging the song of the month, then repeating the club prayer. Roll call was answered by telling "what I am thankful for." The clufy collect was used in closing. A three-course dinner was served at six thirty o’clock to members, with each table for four centered with a lighted taper. A small horn of plenty filled with candy corn was used as a favor to mark each place. Canasta prizes were awarded to Miss Joan Wemhoff, Mrs. ‘AI Schneider and Miss Mary Martha Terveer.
