FEDERATION of clubs TO HOST DISTRICT MEET " The Adams County Federation of Woman’s Clubs will be hostess to the eighth district Federation of clubs bn November 1• at the local Moose home. All federated clubs of the county are invited to attend the meeting. Registration is scheduled, for nine to nine thirty o’clock that morning and Mrq. Henry, Heller •and Mre. Adrian Wemhoff will be in charge. During the morning sessions reports will be given and Mrs. Fred Bell, second vice-presi-dent of 1.F.C., will be the speaker. Music will be provided by Mary Ann Swearingen and Carol Elzey. Reservations .for the lunchdon. to be served at- twelve o’clock noon, may be made with Mrs. Gerald Durkin. ; Mrs. Claude president of Indiana Federation of Clubs, .will present the afternoon . talk, using | as her topic, "This is the Hour.”!

There were twenty-six members and nine visitors present. DAV AUXILIARY IN SOCIAL MEETING The Disabled American Veterans Auxiliary met 1n the D.A.V. hall last evening for their regular social meeting. Commander Martha ' Sommers presided. , r Gaines were played during the social hour and prizes won by Clara Ellen Hitchcock. Doris Spiegel and Alice Eyanson. Plans were completed for the Halloween party to be held tonight. The next regular business meeting is to be held at the hall oh November 8. BRIDAL SHOWER IS HELD FOR MISS BETTY ALLEN A lovely bridal shower was held Wednesday evening at the home of Mrs. Gerald, Eady honoring Miss Betty Allen, whose marriage to Glen Fegley will take pla<£e Saturday evening. Mrs. Bieberich -assisted the hostess. The many lovely shower gifts received by Miss Allen were placed under a green and yellow umbrella arranged on the dining table and small green and yellow' umbrellas decorated the card tables.
