The house has - voted the fcivil defense administration $65,000,000. It had asked half a billion. I < McMahon has said that the Russians already have enough atomic bombs to smash 20 to 30 American cities. Jackson echoed this. Others have estimated the Soviet stockpile at 50 to 200 bombs. Unofficial sources now put the U.S. stockpile at more than 1,000. 1 / All atomic sources, congressional and administrative, emphasized that the new Russian, test means the Russians have built up their stockpile to the poiht where they can use new production of atomic explosives for fabrication of new weapon types.
