Jacob J. Amstutz Dies Unexpectedly Funeral Services Friday Morning Jacob J. Amstutz, 74, of three and one-half miles southeast of Berne, died unexpectedly of a heart attack Tuesday afternoon at the home of a daughter, Mrs. Gilbert 1 Franks, southeast of Berime. A lifelong resident of Adams county, he was born in Monroe township Oct. 28, 1876, a .son of. Jacob and Katherine Neuenscifwip-der-Amstutz. S He was a member of the Old Mennonite church. . ?' Los Angeles Paper Increases Prices Los Angeles, Sept. 26. —(UP)— The Los Angeles ’ Examiner announced today that it wilj increase the price of its papers on newstands and from vendors from 7 cents to 10 cents effective Oct. 1. The paper, a Hearst publication, said the increase was necessitated by recent increases in the cost of newsprint, wages and other materials. “A considerable portion of the increased price will go to vendors and carrier boys who sell and distribute the paper,” the announcement \said.
