Sanity Hearing Is Ordered At Portland Judge Byron G. Jeakins, of the Jay county circuit co»rt* has ordered a preliminary hearing for insanity against Robert Potteiger, of Portland, who is charged with assault and battery with intent to commit a felony on Samuel Chitturn, 80, also of Portland. Potteiger fa charged witli mercilessly beating the aged Chittum at the back of a Portland restaurant. The defendant in the state's case was also Involved with Geneva officials after he had struck and knocked to the ground a man in that town. Potteiger was taken into custody last weekend.
