4TH DISTRICT. FETES } LEGION OFFICIALS The Fourth District American ■ Legion posts and auxiliaries honored the new district commander, Alva Miller, the auxiliary president. Mrs. Virginia Laymon, recently at the Churubusco post. This is the first time the heads of both organizations are from the same post, ■ g Mrs. Helen Kundrat, department secretary, was a special guest and welcomed the new':president. Lunch was served and a dance followed. ’ 7 The district units were represented in a parade, with the foiling members of the ‘drill .team present from th,e Decatur units Margaret Eiting, Mary McGill. Catherine Raudebush, Marguerite Raudebush, Verena Meyer. Effie Flagh and Ty Frye. A skit entitled “All for America” was in the parole by the group *who represented the district at the state convbgtion.Various nations were portrayed with Miss Margaret Eiting, local. president, as the Spaniel nation. She wore varous she had purchased in Spain while touring! Europe a year ago. AUXILIARY JUNIORS INSTALL NEW OFFICERS The Juniors of the American Legion Auxiliary held installation services for their newly-elected Monday evening following a potluck supper at the Legion home. Mothers of the .members -were guests at the. meeting and Mrs. Elizabeth Hersh, presidentelect of the auxiliary,! was also a special guest. Miss Waneta retiring junior chairman, opened the meeting and introduced Mrs. Hersh, who gave a brief talk, A gift was presented to Mrs. Vincent Bormann, who thcfn conducted the- installation, ceremonies.? ! ( Miss Anne Ehinger’- will serve as Junior chairman fpr the coming year, and- other officers are as follows: Junior vice-chairman, Marilyn ~Brown; secretary Kay Bormann; chaplain, Mary Miller; sergeant-at-arms, Wi 11 a Mae Goelz. ‘ The Juniors meet the ; first Monday in each month. They ha\e a membership of thirty-five; the junior girls from the ages of 13 to 18, and the “tiny tots,” up to 13.■ Projects of the girls are the hospital favors they make each year on holidays and special bcc«p sions, and hey Send birthday and holiday gifts to their “adopted”' girl at the Knightstown and Sailors home; Mrs. Ed Bauer, auxiliary junior chairman, serves as counselor to the group. The illness ha\i affected his nervous - to the extent that his arms and legs are partially paralyzed. The J. Cooper family of Mercer avenue will leave soon for their new residence at Crawfords-: ville where Mr. Cooper has accepted employment in a dairy. Rev. Jaberg Named To Ohio Pastorate RCv. Russell Jaberg, former Deeatur resident and pastor of the Presbyterian church at New Castle, Del., has accepted a call to th< Daytop, 0., Presbyterian church effective September 15, it was learned here today. \ Rev. Jaberg is a son of the late Martin F. Jaberg, former Adams county auditor and Mrs. Martin laberg. The latter is residing at this time with her daughter in Chicago. Rev.
