C„ and formerly of Decatur, recently observed her BGth birthday in Bayruth, Mt. Lebanon, Asia. Pictured with her are a granddaughter and great-grandson. Mrs. Maroon is the oldest and Mr. Joseph is the youngest of .the children. Mrs. Maroon has never had a'desire to come to the Umtfd States and she and her brother have been separated for more than 50 years. Her son, Mr. Maroon, came to Decatur about 30 years ago when he first ciune to this country and resided' here with Mr. Joseph for several years before going to North Carolina. < ?

Home Ec Members To Attend Camp In Kosciusko County Homemaker’s retreat will be held Thursday to Saturday at Camp Kosciusko near Silver Lake in Kosciusko county. This is li time for play, sports, crafts, making new friends, and relaxation for Adams county home economics club members who attend-. Thursday morning wHI be regietration and cabin assignments. In i the afternoon all new members will be initiated into the camp. The Decatur club will be in charge of vespers for the evening. Friday morning the Preble Sunny Circle club will, be in charge of morning watch. Handicrafts, sports and relaxation are on the program for the rest of the day. In the evening each cabin will present a stunt before the entire group. Graduation from camp will take place Saturday morning. The St. Mary's club will lead a discussion. Saturday afternoon everyone is ready to return home. Mrs. Noel Hemphill is the director of the camp, with Mrs. Joe Mumby as assistant. The secretarytreasurer is Mrs. Dewaid Beitler. The program was planned by Mrs. Myrtle Daniels and Mrs. Mae Stulz. Food committee members are Mrs. Noah L. Habegger, and Mrs. M. L. Sprunger. Decorations are .planned by Mrs. Harry McDermott and Mrs. Lee Custer. Two Men Reported Injured At Work Two men were -brought to the Adams county memorial hospital, both of them suffering hand injuries incurred while on their respective jobs. Jeff Tumbleson, of Wren, 0., was given emergency treatment, then released, after suffering an injury at a local factory.
