Two Summer Leagues Are Formed Here Organization ot summer recreation leagues was announced today by Deane Dorwin, supervisor of baseball and softball at; Worthman i Field during the summer months. A four-team league tis the older boys has beeft orgainized to play baseball, while a tour-team league has been formed from the yuungef boys to play softball. Dorwin stated that a few more boys are needed in the soft bad . league in order to insure suttieien; players at all times. Junior Legion Opens Season With Victory J The Decatur Junior American Legion baseball team launched its Beason Friday evening,! defeating the Bluffton nine, '4-2, at Worthman field in this city. becatur picked up single runs In each of the first four innings, while Bluffton tallied single runs In each of the second and third framed '' \ A A walk, an error and Lehrman’s Single accounted for Decatur’s first inning run.
