DAV AUXILIARY WINS ATTENDANCE TROPHY Mrs. Matilda Howard, of Fort WaynA state commander of the D. A. lif. Auxiliary, was present at a meeting of the local auxiliary last evening and presented Commander Martha Sommer the trophy awarded the local unit for having largest membership in the state. Mary Ellen Scheiman reported on the state convention held recently at Terre Haute. Dorothy Stulter, senior vice-commander, presided at the meeting. The next social meeting will be held. June 28 at the D. A. V. hall. ADAMS COUNTY CHORUS PLANS SUMMER PROGRAM The Adams County Home Economics Chorus will entertain at a twelve thirty luncheon next Tuesday at the Berne park for the home economics choruses from Allen, Jay and Wells counties. Albert P. Stewart, director of music at Purdue, is\ expected to be here to direct the combined choruses in the, musical numbers to be used at the Indiana Home Economics Chorus festival to be held at Purdue August 1. \ { This year agricultural extension workers and chorus directors from throughout the United States will assemble at Rurdue to study Indiana's program of music and its Home Economics Choruses, and to exchange ideas. . -U * On Thursday morning members of the chorus will leave by bus lor a two day trip to Chicago. valpo guild Will close CLUB SEASON ON TUESDAY T|ie Decatur Circuit Chapter of the 1 Valparaiso University Guild will hold its closing meeting of the year at the shelter house in Han-na-Nuttman park Tdesday evening at six o’clock.
