Mrs; Bennett was graduated from Bluffton high school, DePauw University, and attended Ball State Teachers college. She is a member of Alpha Chi Omega sorority at DePauw and Tri Ksppa, sorority at Bluffton. Until recently she was & teacher in the Indianapolis public schools. Her husband also is a graduate of DePaw, where. he was a of Sigma Chi fraternity. STUDY CLUB HAS RECENT MEETING Mrs. Donald Miller was hostess recently for a meeting of the Holy Cross study club. Mrs. Miller conducted meeting, which was opened with prayer. After the roll was called the question box was answered. The lesson study on the first beatitude was given by Mrs. Julids Brite and Mrs. Oscar Miller. The meeting closed with recitation of the rosary. SUSAN REBER HONORED ON FIRST BIRTHDAY Mr. and Mrs. Dean Reber entertained Sunday evening in honor of their daughter, Susan, who celebrated her first birthday anniversary. Susan was presented with many lovely gifts. Also honored at the supper was Susan’s greatgrandfather, George Wemhoff, who celebrated his 78th birthday. BETHANY CHURCH GROUP MEETS LAST THURSDAY Unit 4 of the Women’s Society cf World Service of the Bethany Evangelical United Brethren met Thursday at the home of Mrs. Zearl McClure. II Devotions were given by Mrs. Arthur Beeler, program chairman. Mrs, Clement Snell, chairman of the unit, presided over, the business meeting. Plans for the coming .year wpre made by the newiyformed unit. Mrs. Richard Hammond is secre-tary-treasurer of the group, and Mrs; McClure was appointed spiritual life chairman. Meetings will be held the third Thursday of each month. Mrs. William Christen will be hostess for the meeting on June 21. During the social hour, refreshments were served to ten members. Albert Sellemeyer was admitted to the Adams county memorial hospital Monday for medical treatment. He was reported resting satisfactorily late this afternoon; Cletus H- Miller, who has been confined to his home on Nuttman Avenue after suffering a heart attack several weeks ago, is reported as improving and able to be up for a short time each day.
