Harbor Lights Theme Os Annual Prom Given By Decatur Catholic Juniors Last Evening > “Harlior Lights” was the theme of this year's junior-senior prom, field list evening in the Kpights of Columbujs hall when the Decatur Chtholic high school Juniors entertained members .of th® graduating class at the annual event. Parents of the class members were guests at the dance. The program opened with the seniors singing appropriate Words to the\ melody of “Harbor Lights” and Bob Gase, vice-president thetjunior class, who was master of cereponies, read the “silver message,’’ class predictions for< the seniors. Msgr. Seimetz favored the group with a vocal selection.' Miss Marilyn Smith, president of the junior class; gave a brief talk and members of the class sang “Now-4s TheVHour.” Following a talk by Isabel Kintz, senior class president, Msgr. Seimetz addressed the group and the program concluded with sihgitig of “May the Dear Lord Blest and Keep You.” Sponsors of the two classes are Sr. M., Leonida and Sr. M. Fehronia.' ' V Music for the dancing was provided by Wi'Aiam Sflnindingar’s orchestra. HEGERFELD-WERUNG /I WEDDING SATURDAY Miss Dorothy Hegerfield, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Herman Hegerfeld of Monroeville route two, and Gerhard Werling, son' of Mr. and Mrs. Gottlieb Werling of route one, exchanged wedding vows Saturday afternoon in St. John’s Lutheran church at Flatrock -The Rev. Heniy Hartenberger performed the dou-ble-ring ceremony at two thirty o’clock before a background of pink gladiolus and snapdragons. i The musicale preceding the rites was presented by W. J. Ehlon, organist, apd Harvey Caston, vocal\tet. Selections included “Take Thou Their Hands and Lead and “The Lord's Prayer.” The bride selected a gown of ivory bridal satin designed with a sheer yoke and featuring embroid ered lace at the shoulder. The fitted bodice buttoned down the back and long sleeves tapered .to points over the hands. The full skirt had a chapel length train- A tiara of pearlized orange blossoms held her fingertip veil of illusion and she carried a bouquet of White carnations and white roses. Der necklace was a gift of the groom. Miss Delores Doctor was the maid of honor, wearing a gown ot orchid organdy over taffeta, ft peter pan collar detailed the bodice and .the full skirt had an embd&fceYt floral design. The bridesmaids. Miss Marceil Hegerfeld, sister of the bride, and Miss ‘Esther Werring, sister of the groom, . w,ere gowned in aqua over Their headpieces were of matching taffeta and .they carried bouquets of carnations and roses. Miss Barbara Fay Gerling, niece of the groom was the flower girl. Her floorlength dress was yellow flowered organdy over taffeta and she carried a basket of mixed flowers. - * ; Gilbert Hartman attended the groom as best man. i For her daugbter’swedding Mrs. Hegerfeld was attired m an aqua dress with black and pink accessories and Mrs. Werling wore a navy blue ensemble. Both wore corsages of pink roses. A reception for two hundred and fifty guests was held at the home of the bride’s parents following the ceremony. Assisting serving were Miss Viola Fe/ger, Miss Corrine Silbert and Mrs Richard Smith- Following a short wedding trip the couple -will reside on Decatur route one. X
