Mrs. Role ert Andrews was chairman for,the ■evening. ~' J | ' / r The meeting opened with prayer and roll call Mfs. Andrews read several interesting articles entitled, “The Open Dfcor." ‘'The Four Chaplains Carry On" arid “Pius the ■Twelfth in the United States.” A general discussion followed and .the meeting closed with the rosary. The June meeting will be held at the home of Mrs.; Paul with Mrs. Hake asi chairman. Women of moose i SOCIAL MEETING The regular social meeting of the Women of the Moose was Held last evening in the Moose home. -Mary chairman of pital guild committee, was in charge of the program. ? Prizes for cards wei e won by Hazel Schultz and, Mary Lhamon, and for bunco by Lillie Hammond and Bertha Sells. The door prize

Dick of route four, became the bride of Irvin J. Liechty, son of Mr. ami Mrs. Amos Liechty of Berne route one at the St. Luke’s Evangelical and Reformed church last Sunday afternoon at. to o’clock. The Rev. H- Hi Meckstroth read the, double ring ceremony before an altpr of flowers and palm flanked with ■ lighted candlebra. Preceding the ceremony a musicale was presented by Anna Jane Hagegger and Lena of Berne. The bride, given in marriage by her father, wore a gown of white satin, styled with a bertha collar outlining the \lace yoke. Long Sleeves tapered to points over her hands and the full skirt ended in a cathedral train. Her fingertip .veil was held in' place by a tiara of seed .pearls aaid she carried a white Bible, gift /of the groom, topped with an orchid tied with white iibhons. Mrs. Loren Sprunger Attended her sister aS matron of honor in an orchid gown w-ith which she wore matching mitts and hetfid band. She carried a bouquet of white roses, Chris Liechty, cousin of the groom, was best man and Ushers Were Ernest Liechty, brother of rhe groom, and Robert Dick, Lrotherof the bride. ' l , , Mrs. Dick selected a nayy blue ensemble for4ier daughter’s wedding and Mrs. Liechty/ was attired in black. Both wore corsages of pink roses. Following the wedding a reception was held in tile church base men|. The bridal table, laid in lace,' was centered with a three tiered wedding cake topped with a miniature bride and groom. Assisting in serving the guests= were Miss Grace Liechty, of Berne., Mrs. Violet Beck of Muncie, Mrs/ Barbara Nussbaum and Mrs. dtto Thieme, of this city, Mrs. Harold Mrs. Oscar Brown and Mrs. Floyd Engle. The first baby, born at 5:50 p. m. weighed 4 pounds, 8 ounbes, and the second baby was born at 5:58 p iri. and weighed 5 pounds, 15 ounces. Pre-School Checkup ' At Adams Central The Adapts Central parent teachers association is conducting a pre-school physical checkup .next TuesdayTtt the school for all children who will enter the school next fall. The examinations will be givenjn the Monroe grade building, from 7:30 to 10 a. m. The PT A committee in charge of arranging for the pre-school physicals urged all parents to bring their’ child or children to the school between those hours. They stated that doctors and nurses from the county will participate in the iheckup*. ‘‘We hone that parents will realize tjie importance of this clinic and will have their children here," the committee stated
