Deep Freeze Woman Has Legs Amputated Survived A Body Temperature Os 64 | Chicago, March 9—(UP) —Chicafreeze” woman, who survivec a body temperature of 64 degrees Ibut lost a battle to save her legs, was reported in “very satisfactory" condition today. Mrs. Dorothy Mae Stevens’ legs were amputated mine inches below the knee yesterday, and a spokesman at Michgel ReesC hospital haid it might be| necessary to remove parti of some fingers later. Mrs. Stevens made medical history by, surviving aftCr she was “froien stiff as rigor mortis" in an alley Feb. 8. Under administration of plasma and cortisone she, recovered consciousness' ahd her temperature returned to normal.
