PROFIT-PLEASURE CLUB OBSERVES STH BIRTHDAY The ’Profit and pleasure Home E«onomie.s club of Washingtoii township entertained members of the Decatur Home Economics club Wednesday in observance of the fifth anniversary cf its founding. Officers of the Adams county Home Ec. clubs and presidents of tlire township cjuhs were also guests. A luncheon was served at noon in the MOYiroe Methodise church annex to s|xty-one members and guestk. The tables were beautifully decorated with the club colors and centered with birthday cakes. '! The; afternoon program opeAed with group (x singing and the devotional service was led by vMrs. Schueller. The club history was read and Mrs. J. J. Yost and Mrs. Alton Corson «an£ -a duet. A short playlet was given by M'rh Yost, Mrs. (’paries Schnepp and Mrs. Clarence McKean. The door prize was given to Mrs. Heni y Adler. During the morning session the following officers of Profit and Pleasure dub were installed by Mrs. Albert Beineke, county president: Mrs. Henry Heiman, “president; Bernard Lengerich, first vice-president; Mrs. Vhyllis Winteregg, second vicepresident; secretary, Mrs. Kenneth Hoffman; treasurer, Mrs. William Miller. 8080 ORGANIZATION MEETS MONDAY NIGHT The Bobo Community Organization held their January meeting at the Bobo school Monday evening. Roman Sprunger presided. The opening prayer for peace was offered by Rufus Brodbeck. A;t the business meeting 'it was decided that the group shquld be represented at the farmers institute on February 1. The musical program consla|ed of a vocal solo, “Harbor Lights” by' Nancy Gaskill, and many old-’ time numbers were played on string instruments by Dale Harshman, William Kelly and JUiman Gaskill. The program was in charge of Mrs. Harold Kelly and Mrs. Kenneth Ohler. were served to seventy-five members by Mrs. Marshall Hilpert and Mrs. Kertni: Bowen. / . WOMAN’S SOCIETY HONORS NEW Thd Woman’s Society of Christian Service of the First Methodist church honored the fifty new members > that have joined the society during the past year at their general meeting, held at the church last evening. Mrs. George Heidi gave the opening prayer and 'Mrs. Johq Doan, past president., welcomed the new members and told of the work of the society. Mis. Samuel Emericjc gave the devotionals \and Mrs. \ Myles Parrish the lesson, using as their theme, “What Is It In Thine Hand.” Mrs. Parrish was assisted by Mrs. Sylvester Everhart and, Mrs. iRi chard Parrish. An interesting report of the conference meeting at Muncie was given by , Mrs. Jay Thacker. During . the business meeting Mrs. W. p.
