Si. Joe, Freshmen Take Opening Games The Commodore Freshpien and the St. Joe eighth grade teams scored victories in their season openers Thursday afternoon against Hoagland teams. St. Joe walloped Hoagland eighth■ graders in the opener. 5018. after taking a 27 6 lead at the half J. I Wilder tallied 15 point*' to lead the I Decatur team, while Hoagland s points were well scattered. In the nightcap, the Commodore Freshmen downed the. Hoagland Freshmen, 22-16. Decatur leading at the half. 8-3. Wilder led the winners with eight points, while three point* was the highest total for any Hoagland player.
