To Increase Pension Payments Voluntary Increase To Former Employes Many former employees of th* General Klectric company in Decatur now ret.red on pension, were Informed today that their incomes are ueih* substantially increased by a boost in pension payment* which th* company is making voluntarily Th* '1 mi pan y stated that ii had tieen increasingly concerned by ■she effect of higher r-osts of living on its former employes now living on Nx.ed iuc.'ties ’ and that more than J.OW lung-service pensioners throughout th* country would lienefit For the majority of th* eligible G-E pensioners, th* increase will b*. between 124 and 149 a month although some will receive a smaller amount. In announcing th* amendment to the company plan, president Charles E. Wilson said •'General Electric Initiated its pension plan in 1912.
