NIBLICK BLDG. DECATUR, IND. A Personal Message Ti The Peepk «f — ADAMS COUNTY by - Arthur D. Suttles, Jr. Upon completing my college education. I worked with my father in his insurance agency. I hiring thin period. Dad thought that ax long as I wanted to make the study of insurance my life work that I should secure a position with a large insurance company. -v • .. _ ................ .... Dad helped m« io secure my first position with a company whose executive offices were in Chicago. Illinois. A few yearn bier, I accepted a position an assistant general manager of the Allied Fire Insurance Company of Utica, New , York and for the past 1-3 years I have held this position. My duties were composed of complete supervision of the under*writing, cbim and production department* of the company. In addition, I have been general manager of the John L. Train Insurance Service. (Her ",<HHI accounts have been under my direct supervision. Part of my duties have been composed of analyzing many complicated insurance problems of both brge and small farmers, merchants and manufacturers. In my letters to Dad and during our many discussions about insurance I expressed to him my desire to eventually return Decatur, laist Christmas during his visit to Utica, we decided that when the time came for him to retire I would return and continue his business. As vou all know. Dad unexpectedly passed away on March ISth. Upon my return to Utica,l immediately advised Mr. John L. Train, president of the companies, of my desire to resign and • return to Decatur. My resignation was finally accepted, effective Auzust Ist. During the past 30 days 1 have been taking a much needed vacation. It is indeed unfortunate that my return to Adams County was precipitated in this way but since Dad and I had planned such a step for many years, I feel it is a great privilege to return to Decatur and serve to the best of my ability Dad's manyfriends and also mine. INSURANCE IS LIKE TAXES Most everyone dislikes to pay taxes. Neither do they like to pay insurance premiums. We all know taxes are necessary for the security of our country. Insurance is also necessary as it provides economic protection for your security and mine. The more money you make and the more property you own. the more taxes you have to pay. Also the more money you make and the more property you own. the more you have to protect through the purchase of insurance. EVERYONE IS EXPOSED TO ECONOMIC LOSS. The large property owner does not take a chance. He buys complete protection IF he knows what economic losses he may sustain. The small property owner cannot afford to protect all of his possible losses. He must assume part of the risk himself. It will be our responsibility to analyze your exposure to economic loss and show you how this exposure can ,be completely protected AT THE LOWEST POSSIBLE COST. During the past 10 years, insurance has become a very complicated science. Today most brge manufacturers spend thousands of dollars maintaining their own insurance specialists. These insurance specialists advise their employers HOW to -protect their interests. - \ You now have the opportunity to have your own personal insurance counselor. We will analyze your exposures to economic loss and expbin the most comprehensive manner in which to protect them.
