McKinney Steps Out As Pirales’ Owner Pittsburgh July 19. —(VP) — Freak K. McKinney today resigned as ynieident of the Pittsburgh Pirates and sold his stock to-John Galbreath and Tom Johnson, vicepresident and secretary of the club Galbreath will become president of the club and Bing Crosby wilt remain a vice president. Johnson will continue as secretary and also wlll take on the duties of treasurer McKinney said*that he could not properly handle the business of the Pirates by “remote control.” He is president of an Indianapolis bank and makes his home there. . . He said he war retaining outright ownership of the Indianapolis Indians of the American Association The working agreement between! the Pirates and Indians will proceed uninterrupted, McKinney said.
