Authority Is Sought To Subpena Witness Testimony Sought For Alleged fraud .» Washington.- May S- ■ (t’Ph A house armed services subcommittee today sought authority to subpena Mrs Salty Dewey, key witness In Its Investigation of alleged fraud at the army finance center In St. Louis, after she declined to appear voluntarily. Chairman Paul J Kilday. D. Tex., announced Mrs. Dewey's refusal to testify and said the. subcommittee will ask the bouse for authority to subpena witnesses and to pay their travel expenses.
