I am asking for your vote and influence for the DEMOCRATIC NOMINATION for the office of JOINT STATE REPRESENTATIVE for Adams and Wells Counties. Since I shall be unable to meet and talk with all of you personally before PRIMARY DAY, May 2, I am making this appeal to you for support. I waa born and reared on a farm. My early career was spent in teaching. I lived at Toesin one year and served as High School Principal during that time. For 23 years I owned a fartn in Hartford Township. Adams County, where I resided for 12 years while acting as Principal of the Poling High School. I am a graduate of the Marion Normal, the Indiana State Normal (now State Teachers’ College>, and Indiana University with an A. B. Degree in Political Science* or Science of Government. Our family consists of three daughters and two sons. From 1936 to 1940, I served as Clerk of the Adams Circuit Court of Adams County.
