BASKETBAWL from Vw«e ®we> erer, the CeBMBO«IMWth wUk4b» .g<wptinr of ondijpune. . have been far more consist, ent in recent weeks. Our choice. COMMODORES. --000- 1 JEFFERSON-HARTFORD—The Gorillas whipped the Warriors badly in the county tourney but barely nosed out a one-point victory when these teams met again last week. Those injuries, however, may be costly to Jefferson. Our choice, HARTFORD. —oOo— ADAMS CENTRAL-YELLOW JACKETS — The Greyhounds won a pair of close ones from Geneva and split a pair of decisions with Hartford during the season, while the Yellow Jackets downed both those teams decisively. Our choice, YELLOW JACKETS. GENEVA-MONMOUTH—The Eagles scored two-one-aided victories over the Cardinals during the season, and should be too tough, even with Harvey on the doubtful list. Our choice. MONMOUTH. COMMODORES-PLEASANT MILLS—The Spart ans pulled one of the season's biggest surprises only last week when they edged out the Commodores by a lone point. However, the Commodores aren’t likely to forget that one. Our choice. COMMOIK>RES. _____ HARTFORD-YELLOW JACKETS — The Jackets handed the Gorillas a 21-point lacing during the season. Hart fort! should put up a better game as the Gorillas are usually tough at tournev time. Our choice, YELLOW JACKETS. —oOo MONMOUTH-COMMODORES—The Eagles whipped the Commodores twice in regular season play, but the Decatur lads bounced back to win the county tourney by defeating Monmouth in the final game. And with the Eagles not at top strength, their chances are * lessened. Our choice, COMMODORES. the two™ Decatur teams come through their previous tests, it will set the'stage for the first meeting in history of these two schools on the basketball court. And it easily could develop into one of the finest battles ever fought in a final game. Meeting three common foes during the season the Decatur teams both defeated Geneva and Hartford and lost to Fort Wayne CenfralTatholic. with comparative scores pretty well even. This game would pit that tough Commodore defense against the high-scoring (when clicking) fast-break offense of the Yellow Jack-
