Krick Monday afternoon. The meeting was ojiened witlt tlie club colled. The dub president then introduced Mrs. ||. B. Heller, program leader for the afternoon. Mrs. Heller introduced Mrs. W. J. Krick, who sang a Christmas carol, composed by Mrs. Harry Dailey. Mrs. Dailey also accompanied Mrs. Krick at the piano. Mrs. Heller then gave a very interesting review of the boos, "limo Years of Christ mas.” by Earl W. Count. Following the review. Ihe group sang "(> Little Town of Bethlehem." accompanied by Mrs. Dailey. A brief business meeting was later conducted by the president at Hie dose of tile program. The ladles wen- then invited to tea. Mrs. <i. L. Vance, president, presided at the tea table which was beautiful with a centerpiece of candles and sprigs of evergreen. Mon Arrested For Fraudulent Checks Two men were detained by Adams county officials and plaied in jail pending further action on their respective cases. Alfred Stucky. 23. of near Berne, was picked up and held by city police last night for deputy sheriff Robert Shraluka, who arrested the man on a charge of panning fraudulent checks. It i» alleged that Stucky has passed several worthless checks in the county. No date has been set for arraignment.
